The prompt for this work was to make a timepiece. I wanted to create something that showed the human value and emotional story in time. I made a pillow using thermochromatic fabric, which changes to white when the temperature is raised. The white area fades away after a minute or two and it seems to act as a ephemeral memento between the moments of sleep (alone or with a partner) and the reflection of that moment ending.

Watching people interact with this object was exciting and I was especially thrilled to get the pictured reaction from revered Professor Matt Kahn (Stanford University Art professor for nearly 60 years!)
