This was a class project for reading the design grammar of a company, then designing a pen or pencil through that visual language. The design had to be created digitally, then manufactured. I chose Hasselblad. Their products are rugged and luxurious, archetypal and beautiful. The pencil was modeled in SolidWorks. It was then built from aluminum using a mill and lathe, was then highly polished, and finished with leatherette laser-cut from the cover of a Moleskine journal.
